Cadiz is less than a 2-hour flight from Barcelona which makes it an ideal weekend trip.

Below is the list of my favorite beaches in Cadiz.

1. Playa de La Cortadura

This stunning beach is just a short walk from the center of Cadiz and offers breathtaking views of its sand dunes.

It lies within the Bahia de Cadiz Natural Park. And is favorite among windsurfing, kitesurfing and paddleboarding enthusiasts.

2. Playa de la Victoria

Conveniently accessible on foot from Cadiz city center, this beach stretches nearly 3 km and is equipped with amenities like showers and public restrooms.

It’s a bustling spot with plenty of water activities, beachside bars, and restaurants.

You might even catch a beach concert or sports event here.

3. El Chato Beach

For those seeking tranquility, El Chato Beach offers a peaceful retreat just 6 km from Cadiz.

With its unspoiled coastline and gentle tides, it’s perfect for a laid-back day of sunbathing.

While there aren’t any restaurants nearby, it’s an ideal spot for a picturesque beach picnic.

4. Playa de Santibáñez

A bit further from Cadiz this serene beach is known for its clear, calm waters, making it perfect for swimming or paddleboarding.

Surrounded by natural sand dunes it offers scenic cliffs and local hiking trails.

5. Playa De Torregorda San Fernando

Situated in San Fernando, a short cab or train ride from Cadiz, this local favorite boasts shallow waters and gentle waves.

A historical highlight nearby is the Castillo de Sancti Petri, a defense fortification dating back to the 13th century.
